WELCOME TO BRITAIN 4 KIWI KIDS NAU MAI KI “BRITAIN 4 KIWI KIDS”
Britain 4 Kiwi Kids has been created by the British High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand to help connect kiwi kids with kids in Britain.
The British High Commission's children's website www.britain4kiwikids.org.nz has been designed as an educational and fun resource to enable children to conduct research on-line.
The website was created as a result of the volume of enquiries we receive from schoolchildren about the UK, and was developed in consultation with groups of children from Wellington Schools.
Britain4KiwiKids is aimed at school children aged 8-13 years and features a wealth of factual information on Britain to assist children who are researching school projects or just looking for fun on a safe and educational website. Kua whawhāitihia a Britain4KiwiKids ki ngā tamariki kura, e 8 ki te 13 ō rātou tau.Kei reira te huhua noa o ngā pārongo meka e pā ana ki Piritene Nui hei āwhina i ngā tamariki e rangahau kaupapa kura ana, e kimi noa ana rānei i tētahi pae tukutuku hauora, whakarato mātauranga hoki.
Children's BBC in the UK supply the News section which has constantly updated news and sport from the UK. Ko te BBC mō ngā Tamariki o Piritene Nui kei te whakarato i te wāhanga Rongo, ā, he rite tonu te whakahou i ngā rongo me ngā pārongo hākinakina o Piritene Nui.
Other sections include British Sports, 'Things To Do', Bizarre British Bits and a Picture Gallery. Ko ētahi atu wāhanga ko ngā British Sports, ‘Things To Do’, Bizarre British Bits me tētahi Picture Gallery.
An Interaction section allows children to put questions to the site's mascot, Oswald, a British Owl.
The section also features a quiz with weekly and monthly prize draws, and various competitions throughout the year. Kei roto hoki i taua wāhanga e whakaaturia ana he kai hinengaro e hoatu paraihe ai ia wiki, ia marama hoki, me ētahi whakataetae puta noa i te tau.
