The Union Jack

The Union Flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, often called the Union Jack, is the official flag of the United Kingdom. It incorporates the red cross of St George for England, the white diagonal cross of St Andrew for Scotland, and the red diagonal cross attributed to St Patrick for Ireland.The three flags or emblems are shown below. Below right is the national flag of Wales.
